Neil R. Sarles is a 1972 graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a 1975 graduate of the University of Toledo School of Law, in Toledo, Ohio. In the 1970's, he worked for Legal Aid, representing psychiatric patients at Eastern State Hospital in Spokane, Washington. Mr. Sarles has practiced law in Seattle for over 25 years. He has written and lectured in the areas of elder law and mental commitment law. He is a former president of the Board of Directors of Orion Industries, a non-profit company that trains handicapped workers.
